Quick note on recent posts
In case they've been overwhelming!
Dear all,
Part four of this essay has just gone out, and it occurs to me that an additional note would have been helpful.
This part focuses on works by Knausgård and Ishiguro, and also develops some ideas that hopefully add something.
However, you do NOT need to have read any of the earlier sections (including the recent rather long section on Pather Panchali and Dr. Zhivago) in order to enjoy it, and it does not contain spoilers for any of the works discussed in any part of the essay.
